In December 2010, the Society for Francophone Postcolonial Studies published the first volume in its annual, book-length, hardback publication series ‘Francophone Postcolonial Studies’. Our vision for the series is that each volume will constitute a sort of état présent on a significant topic embracing various expressions of Francophone Postcolonial Culture (e.g., literature, film, music, history), as well as across different geographical areas (e.g., France, Belgium, Caribbean, Africa, Indian Ocean, Asia, Polynesia), different periods (slavery, colonialism, post-independence era) and different theoretical or conceptual approaches. Above all, we are looking to publish edited volumes of contributions which, individually and collectively, will help to set new research agendas across our field. Please note that we do not publish conference proceedings in this series and each volume should be thematically coherent.

The Editorial Board of Francophone Postcolonial Studies warmly invites proposals for edited volumes (100,000 words max., in English) touching on any of the areas listed above. Please contact the General Editor, Professor Julia Waters [j.waters@reading.ac.uk], with a Proposal Submission Form. All proposals for volumes will normally be considered by the Editorial Board within 8-10 weeks.
